Energy is all about your ability to work or play better!

While you are eating, your body breaks down food and provides you with energy for work or play.

When you walk to work or school, you could be receiving energy from the sun in the form of heat and light. And, while you’re returning home from the gym or football in the night, the street lights use electric energy in order to give you light so you can walk safely.

Human Energy: Kinetic & Potential

The main forms of energy are the Kinetic and Potential energy. Human beings also have these types of energy.

Keep reading, we know it sounds like a physics class.

You’ll be surprised how relevant those calculations are to our bodies and increasing our energy release.

Kinetic energy is the energy that is in motion. The air and the wind that you feel while you run,  that’s Kinetic energy. It’s moving energy. The energy stored inside an object is called Potential Energy. If an object is lying still (not moving), that means that the potential energy has taken its role. It is known to have Potential energy because if it is released, it would do a lot of things.

Think about two people fighting. Mmoja will be busy akirusha matusi, and the other quiet one is angry but quiet. Not reacting, just watching, getting more and more angry, and not moving. The potential energy keeps increasing in him, and when it gets to that point of no return, anamrushia kofi ya kubaff (kinetic energy), that leaves the other person quiet.

Here is one simple thing that everyone should remember and know: Energy cannot be destroyed or created, it can be only be transformed from one form of energy to another. There are 2 types of energy: kinetic and potential energy.

Kinetic energy is energy in motion whereas potential energy is stored energy which is the most critical in the study of biological systems like our bodies.

Harnessing energy

What is important for our bodies is the potential energy stored in the bonds connecting atoms in molecules. This is the energy that allows us to carry our day to day functions. The glucose molecule, for example, is high in potential energy. The energy released when glucose is metabolized is harnessed to perform different activities.

The foods you eat provide the required glucose and nutrients required for your storing potential energy that can be used by your body.
